When Should Your Child First Visit?

As soon as your child turns two, we believe it’s time for them to visit the dentist for an oral health assessment. What Happens on the First Visit?

With our dental services for children, we take one step at a time. Your child will meet our dentist and have an opportunity to get used to the dentist’s high-tech chair. This consultation mainly involves a visual inspection, making sure there’s nothing unusual with the child’s teeth and gums. We also count the child’s teeth using a dental mirror – a fun game that we’ve found usually fascinates the patient!

As well as including an oral examination, our dentistry for kids will assess the growth and development of their teeth to identify any risk of dental decay. We also educate the child (and parent) on brushing techniques and the importance of healthy nutrition when it comes to children’s dental care.
